ÖKO-TEST rates Speick Original Liquid Soap refill bag as "very good"

In the latest edition of the ÖKO-TEST consumer magazine, 43 liquid soap refill bags were tested among others for allergenic fragrances, harmful formaldehyde/formaldehyde separators and nitro musk compounds. Speick Original Liquid Soap in the refill bag received an overall rating of "very good".
Reduce packaging waste by using refill bags
The ÖKO-TEST study concluded that refill bags for liquid soap are a packaging-saving alternative to pump dispensers. The reason for this is two-fold – the dispenser attachment is able to be reused and comparatively less plastic is required to produce the refill bags.
Liquid vs. solid
In terms of packaging and efficiency, the best choice is solid soap. A study by the Institute for Ecological Economic Research and the Institute for Energy and Environmental Research in Heidelberg found that liquid soap consumption is up to six times higher and a folding carton causes up to 25 times less climate- relevant emissions than a pump dispenser. To reduce packaging and ensure greater environmental protection, many solid soaps from Speick Naturkosmetik come intentionally unpackaged – without a folding carton or slip case.
