Our story: it all began with a revolutionary idea
Since 1928, Speick Naturkosmetik has stood for the combination of holistic personal care and traditional expertise in botanical ingredients. In the midst of the global economic crisis, Walter Rau founded the “ Feinseifenwerk WALTER RAU ” in Stuttgart and realised his vision of gentle, natural body care that went far beyond the soap’s traditional cleansing function. Inspired by the remarkable qualities of the long-forgotten Speick plant, he made its valuable properties accessible to people once again, laying the foundation for a cosmetics brand that remains unique to this day.
The cornerstone was Speick Original Soap. From this revolutionary idea, a comprehensive range of skincare products for the face, body, hair and shaving gradually evolved over the decades.
The founder’s values continue to shape the family-owned company, now managed by the fourth generation, guided by a principle that remains as relevant today as ever: to stay true to oneself while continuing to grow and develop.

Wikhart and Valentin Teuffel, grandson and great-grandson of founder Walter Rau, are now the third and fourth generation to run the natural cosmetics company in order to continue the unique success story. -
